Job description

Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Senior Geotechnical Professional

Location: Multiple locations across Ontario (GTA / East GTA / Hamilton / York Region)


Work Model: Hybrid / Flexible

Level: Senior


The Opportunity

We are currently working with a highly respected, well-established consulting firm with a strong reputation across Ontario for delivering technically robust, practical, and defensible geotechnical solutions. Due to continued growth and project demand, they are looking to add a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced geotechnical professional who enjoys working on complex, high-impact projects, values collaboration, and is interested in long-term career progression within a stable and well-regarded organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage geotechnical investigations and studies for a wide range of projects, including infrastructure, land development, and multidisciplinary engineering work
  • Provide senior technical input on foundation design, earthworks, slope stability, excavations, and geotechnical risk assessment
  • Prepare, review, and sign off on geotechnical reports and engineering recommendations
  • Act as a technical mentor to junior and intermediate staff
  • Collaborate closely with internal disciplines, clients, and external stakeholders
  • Support project delivery through sound engineering judgement and practical problem-solving


About You

  • Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Registered P.Eng. in Ontario (or eligible)
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in geotechnical consulting
  • Strong technical background across investigations, design, and reporting
  • Proven ability to manage projects and work directly with clients
  • Collaborative mindset with a practical, solutions-focused approach
