About the Opportunity:

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help grow our system! You will be working with a smart team of machine learning scientists and software developers on applications and tools that power Seekr's AI products, agents, and tools. You'll have the opportunity to have an outsized impact from the beginning, and to work with other members of the team to ensure the architecture is scalable and reliable. You'll work closely with other members of our Engineering Team to refine our applications, ensuring they are performant, scalable, and built to last.

From day one, you'll be a key contributor in a "no bystanders" environment, collaborating directly with Back-end and DevOps peers to ship lightning-fast web experiences. You will have a significant voice in *how* we build, helping us delight millions of users worldwide while sharpening your own expertise. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with engineers to ship high-quality, production-ready features
  • Provide empathetic leadership and mentorship across the organization
  • Drive sound technical decision-making and help establish engineering best practices
  • Collaborate with Product, QA, and business partners to develop creative, practical solutions
  • Scope and break down abstract ideas into well-defined, actionable engineering work 

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years in Software Engineering supporting large-scale distributed systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a similar field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Expert knowledge in the following technologies:
    • Python
    • Postgres or a similar RDBMS
    • RESTful API design or Fast API
    • Containerization - Docker and Kubernetes preferred
    • Microservices and Distributed Systems
    • Testing and test-driven development
    • Kafka or similar streaming/queueing technology
  • Strong collaborative skills, with both technical and non-technical groups
  • Proficient in using AI Coding assistants such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor to enhance productivity and code quality.
  • Agile mindset, with experience in Scrum, CI/CD, and Git.
  • Experience effectively utilizing AI technologies and tools (e.g., large language models, agents, etc.) to enhance workflows
