Job Summary:
Howie is an early-stage applied AI company building the world’s most capable scheduling assistant. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (AI) to design, evaluate, and deploy AI systems that power their assistant, focusing on LLM-powered features and collaborating with various teams.
Responsibilities:
• Own the development and deployment of LLM-powered features end-to-end.
• Design and maintain evaluation frameworks for prompts, retrieval, and inference.
• Optimize embeddings, vector stores, and semantic search for performance and scalability.
• Experiment with the latest advancements in LLMs and apply them to user-facing product features.
• Work directly with users to understand their workflows and build features that deliver value.
• Collaborate with backend, frontend, and product teams on architecture and design decisions.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Experience shipping LLM-powered solutions into production.
• Strong engineering background with TypeScript/Node.js and Python.
• Familiarity with RAG, semantic retrieval, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Experience with evaluation/inference platforms and prompt iteration.
• Ability to move quickly and independently in a fast-paced environment.
