Position Summary

As a Senior Software Engineer - DevOps at Light & Wonder, you will be a key contributor within a collaborative, global engineering team focused on delivering robust, innovative technology solutions. These solutions support both internal systems and customer-facing products. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining software automation and tools used to configure, build, package, deploy, and test software. Must have passion for DevOps and understand its importance in the software supply chain.

Essential Job Functions

  • Developer of products built with sufficient quality and efficiency to meet business goals

  • Follow detailed requirements and instructions provided by the Manager to ensure accurate and thorough testing

  • Provides Operational and Customer Support when required

  • Contributes to development planning, and provides progress reports to superiors

  • Technical Services and Operations Support may consume 30% of job function

  • Total commitment to customer satisfaction

  • Individual contributor and team leader

  • Ability to rapidly understand requirements, architectures, and development tools

  • Designs solutions to requirement and architectural constraints

  • Knowledge transfer and mentorship to other engineers

  • Aggressively pursue resolution to issues with release engineering systems and tools

  • Expert troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to support multiple projects

  • Acting independently to determine methods and procedures for new assignments

  • Strong development abilities in C#, C++, VBScript, JavaScript, ASP.Net, HTML, Perl, awk, Python, Lua

  • Strong PowerShell, Batch scripting, and Shell scripting abilities

  • Experience with databases such as MS SQL Server

  • Expert with software version control systems; GitHub, Perforce

  • Proficient with Atlassian tools JIRA and Confluence desired

  • Leadership and team management abilities

  • This position requires 5 Days in Office
