Job description

Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.

We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.

We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.

If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.

About the Role

Crusoe is seeking a Security Program Manager to lead the physical security strategy and delivery for our growing portfolio of data center construction projects.

You will manage security systems from initial design through installation, commissioning, and transition to operations. This includes access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, fencing, gates, vehicle barriers, lighting, and other perimeter security systems across new-build, expansion, and retrofit projects.

This is a highly visible, cross-functional role for someone who combines physical security expertise, construction project management experience, and the ability to drive complex projects across multiple teams and locations.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead physical security delivery across multiple data center construction projects.

  • Manage the complete project lifecycle, including design reviews, bid packages, budgets, schedules, submittals, change orders, installation, commissioning, and closeout.

  • Partner with architects, engineers, general contractors, vendors, systems integrators, customers, and internal teams.

  • Review security drawings, specifications, product substitutions, and technical submissions against Crusoe and customer requirements.

  • Apply physical security and CPTED principles to access control, surveillance, intrusion detection, fencing, gates, lighting, and perimeter protection.

  • Manage multimillion-dollar budgets and identify cost, schedule, quality, and delivery risks.

  • Establish consistent security standards, quality assurance processes, governance documents, and operating procedures.

  • Conduct site walks, field inspections, installation reviews, and commissioning activities.

  • Communicate technical decisions, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to both technical teams and senior stakeholders.

  • Help shape Crusoe’s long-term physical security strategy as our data center portfolio grows

    .

What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in physical security project management, security systems deployment, construction management, or a related field.

  • Experience working in data centers, mission-critical facilities, critical infrastructure, or similarly complex environments.

  • Hands-on knowledge of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and perimeter security systems.

  • Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and substitution requests.

  • Proven ability to manage vendors, contractors, consultants, and systems integrators.

  • Experience managing multiple projects, locations, budgets, and competing priorities.

  • Strong communication, organization, judgment, and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Familiarity with construction management platforms such as Procore.

  • Working knowledge of networking, servers, and systems integrations related to physical security platforms.

  • Ability to read and mark up construction drawings and technical specifications.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Security Management, or a related field.

  • CPP, PSP, PMP, CPTED, or relevant security systems certification.

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software.

Travel

Approximately 25%–30% travel is expected to support design meetings, site walks, inspections, construction milestones, and commissioning activities across Crusoe’s data center portfolio.
