Summary

The Senior Program Manager manages customer relationships and fulfillment for assigned Inventory Logistics Management (ILM) accounts who generate an annual revenue of at least $7M.


Responsibilities


  • Develop a strategic and targeted customer service approach to attain and exceed annual sales quota and commercial margin rate of assigned customer account worth at least $7M in annual sales.
  • Direct supervision of a small team of Program Managers who are responsible for managing discrete, ILM, VMI and/or consignment inventory program(s), assessing the risks and opportunities, while consistently improving the fulfillment process, accounts who generate an annual revenue under $5M.
  • The Senior Program Manager may also management responsibilities of a small team of Inside Sales Representatives and/or Project Managers – Sales.
  • Develop target customer service levels and team goals; position team to achieve goals.
  • Oversee supply chain including managing key vendor relationships, guarantee parts are ordered timely to insure on-time delivery, identify key parts for overseas COGS deflation and own execution on deflationary efforts, drive process improvements, insure prompt payment on invoicing.
  • Provides strategic account management which include more complex support such as forecasting, monitoring negative transactions, overall profitability and completing all contractual obligations.
  • Partner with Sourcing team members to manage existing programs for assigned area customers.
  • Complete data analysis on customer forecast to manage QAD upload for sourcing.
  • Provide technical and product knowledge support to supplier and customer base as needed to ensure account is properly maintained.
  • Work to constantly improve fulfillment processes.
  • Lead quarterly business review with internal team members or external customer and suppliers to provide performance and inventory updates to assigned.
  • Ensure prompt payment on invoicing for assigned customer base by reviewing claims (i.e. price/quantity discrepancies, delivery issues, etc.) that prevent the customer from paying in collaboration with CFS Team.
  • Own execution of deflationary effort for assigned customer base, if needed.
  • Review customer forecast and usage through data analysis to show current trends and predict future trends to prepare correct stocking levels with consideration to lead times.
  • Work closely with outside sales and business development BD Teams to achieve growth objectives and executive on projects such as scope expansion .
  • Manage the hot buy process, ensuring all customer orders have been placed, working with sourcing and operations team to ensure inventory is order and/or reallocated to meet customer demand.
  • Complete export compliance workflows for international customer orders, if applicable.
  • Perform monthly financial analysis for assigned customer base.
  • Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager, Service Site Manager and/or Service Center Manager.

Senior Program Manager Requirements: The Program Manager should preferably possess a bachelor’s degree and at least 5-7 years of relevant experience in a customer-facing role within the supply chain industry OR an equivalent combination of education and experience within the supply chain industry in program management/sales/service capacities owning program strategy and end to end delivery. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to define and execute against program requirements. The Program Manager should possess a combination of proven product and application knowledge, negotiation skills, interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, organization skills, and problem-solving skills to drive decisions with influence presenting to senior executive.


Qualifications


  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience within industrial distribution or other sales environments is highly desirable, to include coaching and developing direct reports for promotional opportunities.
  • Graduate-level degree, MBA or applicable discipline is preferred
  • Combination product and knowledge within industrial distribution or other sales environments, including the ability to source products, quote customers, process transactions, and monitor customer fulfillment, and customer demand planning.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, well-developed customer service skills with internal/external customers.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a solutions-based mindset.
  • High attention to detail and level of accuracy in processing orders and maintaining records.
  • Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to identify and resolve procurement-related issues effectively.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Offices, specifically Microsoft Excel as well as relevant ERP systems and Customer Relation Management tools (CRM).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with a high degree of self-confidence, passion, initiative, and a commitment to teamwork and customer service.
  • Ability to drive results without a great deal of direct supervision.
