Job description

Security Operations Center Engineer
The Opportunity:
As a Security Operations Center Engineer, you'll build and improve the systems that enable security teams to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats. We need an engineer who can combine cybersecurity knowledge, systems engineering, and automation to help protect our client's critical infrastructure.
On our team, you'll design, deploy, integrate, and maintain security operations platforms. You'll develop automated workflows and playbooks, connect security tools and data sources through APIs, and turn analyst requirements into reliable, repeatable capabilities. You'll work with technologies such as Tines, ThreatQ, and Andesite to improve threat intelligence, investigation, and incident response processes. You Have:
  • Experience designing, building, integrating, or maintaining systems that support security operations
  • Experience developing automation using scripting languages, APIs, webhooks, or orchestration platforms
  • Experience integrating security tools, data sources, and operational workflows
  • Knowledge of incident response, threat detection, investigation, and remediation processes
  • Knowledge of Windows or Linux system administration
  • Knowledge of basic IT forensics
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and integrations
  • Ability to support 24/7 operations through a shift or on-call schedule
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Elastic or Splunk

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
