Job Description:

The L3Harris Mission Critical Communications (MCC) sector is seeking a Product Analyst to provide technical support and input for our SATCOM product lines, including our very small aperture terminals (VSAT), flat panel technologies, and future developments. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with extensive knowledge of tactical SATCOM product lines, communication systems integration, IP networking, and practical project management skills. They will investigate customer requirements, research applications and accessory compatibility with our product offerings and provide informed recommendations. This role will be based out of our Rochester, New York facility.


Essential Functions:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Investigate, capture, and conveyย customer requirements for product and tactical SATCOM applications.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Research accessories and external applications for compatibility and applicability.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Prepare detailed product specifications/responses for RFIs/RFPs in collaboration with offering managers.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Maintain integrity and consistency of product documentation including specs, data sheets, and brochures.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Independently author application notes and product bulletins to facilitate proper fielding and application of equipment.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Participate in trade shows, demonstrations, and field trials to showcase product capabilities.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Support identification and troubleshooting of field issues and product service returns.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Participate and provide organizational guidance during regular reviews of product line operations, trouble report reviews, and development status meetings.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Communicate effectively with contacts inside and outside of the department to explain and interpret technical product information, operational processes, practices, and procedures.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Product and system integration leadership in developing and validating customer concepts of operation.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to travel up 50% or more, including international travel as needed

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  This position may require the candidate to be able to obtain a security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.


Qualifications:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Requires proficient knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.ย 

oย ย ย  Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience in the use and application of tactical SATCOM equipment in customer-relevant environments.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Proficient in tactical SATCOM product lines and practical project management, capable of managing projects or processes with general supervision.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Effective communicator with the ability to explain and interpret technical product information, operational processes, practices, and procedures to diverse audiences.ย  Strong writing skills to deliver technical publications such as whitepapers and sales force bulletins.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experienced in supporting product life cycle processes, practices, and procedures to ensure product integrity and performance.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Skilled in recommending and innovating with enhancements to current and future products, systems, and processes to drive innovation and efficiency.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Demonstrated success in achieving operational targets for multiple programs and projects, leading and contributing significantly to departmental outcomes.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience in sales and front-end business operations, including effective face-to-face customer interactions to understand needs and deliver tailored solutions.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Military service/background is preferred.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Familiarity with SATCOM networks - networks, constellations, waveforms and applications, IP network management and routing.


In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role New York state is [$76,500 - $141,500]. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
