You'll work on a modern, cloud-based platform used by thousands of hospitality and event professionals, solving real problems at scale. What You’ll Own
  • Architect, build, and maintain scalable features across Tripleseat's full-stack platform using Ruby on Rails, React, and MySQL/PostgreSQL
  • Lead technical design discussions and contribute to decisions that shape the long-term direction of our engineering systems
  • Write clean, well-tested code and hold the team to a high standard of quality through thoughtful code reviews
  • Identify and drive performance improvements across high-load, distributed systems
  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineering teams to deliver meaningful customer value
  • Mentor and support the growth of fellow engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices across the team
  • Other related duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
  • 6+ years of experience (ideally 8+) in cloud-based software development, with strong hands-on expertise in Ruby on Rails, React, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Docker, and scalable distributed systems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor developers while working effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Solid computer science fundamentals, including programming languages, system architecture, data structures, and algorithms
  • Proven track record of optimizing performance in high-load production applications
  • A quality-first mindset with expertise in writing clean, testable code and unit testing across both backend and frontend
  • Comfortable navigating and contributing to large, established codebases while following conventions and advocating for meaningful improvements
  • Clear and concise communicator who can translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • A strong foundation in leveraging AI tools — such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar — to accelerate development, improve code quality, and solve complex engineering problems
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud platforms, particularly AWS
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Backbone or Node.js
  • A genuine interest in the hospitality industry and experience with event Tripleseat is a plus

This position is open to remote candidates eligible to work in the United States. Week 1 of onboarding is in-person, based out of our Concord, MA office. A hybrid work schedule will be offered if the ideal candidate is based near our Concord, MA office. Additional travel may be required for meetings, company events, and training.

The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $150,000 annually. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, skill set, geographic location, and alignment with our internal compensation framework. This role is also eligible for additional benefits and incentives.
