As aElectrical Engineer - Sr, you will provide technical leadership supporting Wyoming and Piceance Basin (PIC) assets. Your role will span technical and economic evaluations, performance testing, design support, construction, and ongoing reliability improvements for new and existing facilities. Success in this role requires initiative, sound judgment,strong communicationskills, and the ability to lead both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities/Expectations:
  • Performs a wide range of complex electrical engineering assignments requiring advanced experience, innovation, and professional judgment; may direct the work of other engineers and technical staff

  • Plans and execute work independently with substantial latitude for unreviewed technical decisions

  • Serves as a technical authority for electrical systems within assigned geographic areas and operating assets

  • Applies specialized electrical engineering knowledge to the delivery of major projects and operational initiatives

  • Prepare sand deliver clear, effective technical presentations to engineering, operations, and leadership audiences

  • Anticipates internal and external customer needs, assess requirements, and develop practical, compliant solutions

  • Maintains strong awareness of applicable industry codes, standards, and operational requirements

  • Works across multiple engineering disciplines to support integrated facility design and operations

  • Interprets business and operational challenges and drive improvements to systems, processes, and services

  • Collaborates with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure compliance, develop improvement plans, and meet training needs

  • Champions electrical best practices, safety standards, and reliabilitycentered maintenance strategies

  • Monitors and control project costs, schedules, and resourceutilization

  • Supports electrical outages and maintenance activities, including testing and evaluation of switchgear, VFDs, MCCs, transformers, breakers, grounding systems, protective relays, motors, UPS systems, generators, power cables, and overall system functionality.

  • Supports operation and maintenance of highhorsepower primary drivers and associated electrical infrastructure.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Years of Experience:
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering field from an accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license; A minimum eight (8) years of multifaceted engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry

Other Requirements:

  • Maintains and updates division electrical documentation, including oneline diagrams, schematics, equipment drawings, and Cause & Effect (C&E) charts

  • Develops, implements, and continuously improves conditionbased maintenance programs to enhance electrical asset reliability and safety

  • Leads complex electrical troubleshooting, fault analysis, rootcause investigations, and support electrical outages and maintenance activities

  • Supports operation and maintenance of low, medium, and highvoltage substations, distribution systems, and highhorsepower primary drivers

  • Performs power system and arcflash studies, including periodic reevaluations, protection setting application, label maintenance, and implementation of recommendations

  • Utilizes industrystandard power system analysis tools (e.g., SKM, ETAP, or equivalent) to assess system limitations, risks, and energysaving opportunities

  • Provides protection relay expertise, including programming, testing, event analysis, and full lifecycle management

  • Supports execution of small and capital electrical projects, ensuring compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and operational needs through design, installation, and commissioning

  • Performs technical electrical reviews for Management of Change (MOC) packages and participate in incident investigation, concern reporting, and lifecritical work processes (e.g., WIMS)

  • Develops and deliver technical training for electrical technicians

  • Familiarity with AllenBradley, DeltaV, and Yokogawa control systems preferred

  • Preferred: Project Management experience
