Product Engineer, Warehouse Operations

Revivn

Fresno, CA

Full-time

Posted 4 days ago

Job description

Revivn is a profitable and rapidly growing company that helps enterprises manage their technology through our end of life software platform. We take electronic recycling one step further by repurposing hardware that still has remaining life and providing it to people who lack dedicated computer access and make it more affordable for people who may not be able to purchase new technology. Working with companies like Instacart, Lyft, Qualtrics, X, Gensler, and Spotify, we are changing the way companies view used technology with a new model that focuses on repurposing instead of recycling.

We're looking for a Product Engineer to be the embedded technical presence for our warehouse operations team at our new Fresno facility. This role is ideal for a full-stack engineer who wants ownership over both the "what" and the "how" —spending real time on the warehouse floor to understand the problem, then building the fix yourself. You'll work closely with our Director of Engineering and operations leadership to prioritize what gets built, and with modern, AI-enabled workflows to build it fast.

Please note this role is based on-site at our Fresno office with Remote Wednesdays.

What you'll do:

  • Discovery & Product Ownership
  • Spend significant time on the warehouse floor with the operations team, observing workflows and understanding pain points firsthand.
  • Translate what you learn into clear problem framing, PRDs, and lightweight documentation.
  • Own the roadmap for how our internal warehouse platform (Phoenix) evolves to support the Fresno site as it scales.

Engineering & Delivery

  • Build and ship the features and fixes you scope yourself, on our Ruby on Rails and React stack.
  • Use AI-native engineering workflows (agentic coding tools, AI-assisted review) as a core part of how you work, so more of your time can go toward the product half of the role.
  • Maintain documentation clear enough for teammates to pick up your work if needed.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Confer regularly with our product team on roadmap overlap and technical sequencing where the platforms intersect.
  • Bring prioritization tradeoffs to the Director of Engineering for final sign-off—you own the framing and recommendation, leadership owns the final call.•
  • Be a visible advocate for modern, AI-enabled engineering practices across the broader team.

What we are looking for:

  • Full-stack experience with Ruby on Rails and React in production.
  • Genuine, demonstrated fluency with AI-assisted engineering workflows—we'll ask you to walk us through real examples, not describe a philosophy.
  • Comfort owning a problem from a stakeholder conversation through to shipped code, and taking direct accountability for that full arc.
  • Experience or strong interest in operational/warehouse environments—you should be energized by being embedded in physical systems and hardware, not just software.
  • Clear written communication—you'll be writing your own PRDs and specs.
  • Ability to work independently while staying coordinated with teammates in a different location and function.

Who you are

  • You're energized by being on the floor, not just behind a desk—during onboarding, expect roughly half your week on the warehouse floor, tapering over time as you ramp.
  • You use AI tooling to genuinely move faster, not as a talking point.
  • You take full ownership—when a problem is yours to solve, you see it through from conversation to shipped code.
  • You're comfortable being the only embedded technical presence at your site, and know when to loop in the wider engineering team.
  • You communicate clearly in writing, and translate floor-level observations into specs others can act on.

If this sounds like you, apply! If you don't meet all of the qualifications but think you could be a match, we'd still love the chance to review your application.

We embrace diversity and are committed to fostering an inclusive environment. At Revivn, we encourage people from all ages, abilities, and experiences to apply. Revivn does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ancestry, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital or family status, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, pregnancy or caregiver status, veteran status, or any other legally protected status.

At Revivn, we prioritize transparency about our salary throughout the entire recruitment process. Be prepared to chat about compensation on your initial screen so that we can ensure alignment. If salary expectations and ranges are out of sync, we believe it is kind to respect everyone's time and may discontinue conversations.

But, here at Revivn, we ALSO believe in investing in the lifetime value of each individual we meet and interact with. (We love knowing good humans and supporting them in whatever they do). We know that if it isn't a good fit at the moment, it doesn't necessarily mean that it won't be a good fit in the future as we both continue to grow! We work to remain in contact with prospective candidates if the recruitment process ends early on.

For all job openings, we consider candidates with various backgrounds and levels of experience. When we give an offer it is based on individual skills and experience, as well as how that stacks up against other employees in the role. The salary range for a Product Engineer is expected to be between $90,000 and $130,000/year. Your exact offer may vary based on these factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, and experience. The compensation package will also include comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with a 401(k) plan.
