As a Senior Operations Lead, Rail & Transit, you will lead the growth and delivery of freight railway infrastructure and facilities across Canada, with a strong base in Alberta. This is a senior leadership opportunity to shape strategy, drive operational excellence, and deliver complex, high-value infrastructure projects that support the movement of goods and strengthen national supply chains.


Your Impact

  • Lead the successful delivery of freight rail infrastructure and facilities projects valued at $35M+, from concept through design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Drive strategic planning, operational execution, and market growth for rail and transit infrastructure services across Canada.
  • Partner with key account teams supporting major clients such as CPKC and CN to strengthen relationships and expand business opportunities.
  • Oversee multi-site facilities operations, optimizing asset performance, building systems, and lifecycle costs.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and on budget while maintaining exceptional technical and quality standards.
  • Champion compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all project phases and operational activities.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Deliver specialized infrastructure solutions including maintenance facilities, fueling systems, fleet infrastructure, and vehicle storage.

  • Extensive experience in freight railway infrastructure engineering and operations.
  • Proven track record delivering medium to large-scale infrastructure and facilities projects ($35M+) across design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Strong leadership experience in civil engineering and facilities project management, including multi-site operations oversight.
  • Demonstrated success supporting strategic account growth and client development (e.g., CPKC, CN).
  • Expertise in lifecycle asset management, building systems optimization, and operational performance improvement.
  • In-depth knowledge of Canadian health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation in Canada or eligibility to obtain.
  • Highly effective communicator with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels.

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $162,200 - $212,200
MB & ON: $148,000 - $198,000
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $146,500 - $194,600
