Job Description Summary

Software Engineer - HTML5, Node.js, React, JavaScript
Sunbelt's Software Engineer is equipped for success so we can make it happen for our customers.
The Software Engineer is empowered to deliver quality code to meet end users requirements in a manner that is scalable to the organization. This role works with more senior team members to learn more about Sunbelt and the needs/requirements in its customer facing and internal business applications.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Designs and develops applications/solutions for the IBM Power System using native development tools
  • Tests and documents applications in accordance with established department standards
  • Work on Production support issues and handle critical situations and resolution of tickets from business users
  • Work directly with the business to understand requirements and translate them into functional and technical design documents
  • Develops and improves the corporation's programming, documentation and computer standards

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience plus 5+ years of experience developing applications using RPGLE, RPG-FREE, Web Service development in a large ERP environment
  • Change management experience and familiarity with a change management tool such as Aldon
  • Experience exposing and consuming web services, JSON, REST APIs is a plus
  • Python development experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of systems applications in a sales and service organization
  • Experience with large ERP implementations, change management disciplines
  • Ability to test, debug, and modify applications that use RPGLE, RPGFREE, CL, Webservices, and XML
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks as well as working to meet deadlines or targets

Physical Demands:

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Base Pay Range: $85,680.00 - 117,810.00
