Job description

We are seeking an experienced Large Format Printing Machine Operator (Operador/a de Máquina de Impresión de Gran Formato) to join our 2nd Shift and 3rd Shift production team in Arlington, TX. This position is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in large-format printing (impresión de gran formato), wide-format printing (impresión de formato ancho), digital printing (impresión digital), sign production (producción de letreros), print finishing (acabado de impresión), or machine operation (operación de maquinaria).

You’ll work with equipment including the HP Latex 3200, Canon Colorado M-Series, Mimaki UCJV300-160, and Zünd G3 3XL 1600, to name a few, performing roll-to-roll printing (impresión de rollo a rollo), digital cutting (corte digital), routing (fresado), and finishing (acabado). Experience with machine setup, print media, large rolls, rigid substrates, print quality, and equipment troubleshooting is strongly encouraged.

3rd Shift $13.99 - $20.00 DOE

2nd Shift 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM, Monday - Friday
3rd Shift 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM, Monday - Friday

Duties and responsibilities

  • Operate and learn wide and superwide format digital printing equipment, including dual-roll, roll-to-roll, and hybrid flatbed and roll-fed systems, along with digital cutting, routing, and related finishing equipment.
  • Check orders on computers using the company’s database.
  • Load large rolls of flexible print media into wide and superwide format roll-to-roll printers. Materials may include vinyl, banner material, adhesive media, and fabric.
  • Load flat sheets and rigid substrates into flatbed or hybrid printers, digital cutters, and related finishing equipment. Materials may include corrugated plastic, PVC board, styrene, and foam board.
  • Measure, weight, and count products and materials.
  • Perform scheduled color and image quality tests and notify manager upon found issues.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance.
  • Communicate equipment and material problems with management and vendors in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining efficiency while meeting quality standards and deadlines.
  • Pack and seal printing products and additonal material in the assign boxes according to the size and quantity.
  • Prepare completed orders for shipping by reading shipping labels, verifying the correct product and quantity, and ensuring all items are packed properly.
  • Ensure that a clean and orderly work area is stocked with boxes and packing paper.
  • Following safety guidelines and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
  • Report any and all workplace hazards to management immediately.
  • Communicate with the management team to ensure all duties assigned are completed.
  • Taking on additional responsibilities as skills grow and business needs require.
  • Must be proactive with completing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in large format printing, wide format printing, digital printing, sign production, print finishing, machine operation, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating roll-to-roll, flatbed, hybrid printing, digital cutting, routing, or related finishing equipment is preferred.
  • Experience handling flexible print media, large rolls, flat sheets, or rigid substrates is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and with team members.
  • Strong customer service mindset and pride in quality work.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely (e.g., pallet jack).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • Comfortable using computers and related systems.
  • Adaptable and eager to learn new processes.
  • Strong time management in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Reliable and takes initiative when needed.
  • Physically capable and able to working in a production environment.
