About the Role: Sr. Risk Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Risk Analyst to help in promoting a culture of proactive risk awareness across all of Primient. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in risk assessment, insurance analysis, and the ability to develop strategies to mitigate risk. This role requires a deep understanding of insurance policies, industry regulations, and advanced risk modeling techniques. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify control gaps, develop remediation plans, and monitor the implementation of controls. In addition this role will provide support in managing insurance policies, practices and compliance & reporting in order to efficiently manage and minimize the cost of premiums and fees.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Implement Policies:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive risk management policies and procedures to ensure a robust framework.

Risk Assessment & Analysis:

  • Lead and facilitate risk assessments at the enterprise level, including identifying and analyzing key risks in various areas such as operations, finance, cybersecurity, compliance, and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and refine risk models and scenarios to evaluate the potential impact of risks on the organization's objectives.

Risk Mitigation Strategies:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional committees/teams to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including recommending actions to address identified risks.
  • Ensure that appropriate controls, policies, and procedures are in place to manage and mitigate risks.

Training and Culture Promotion:

  • Provide comprehensive training to staff about risk management principles and practices.
  • Promote a culture of risk awareness within the organization through regular communication and engagement activities.

Risk Reporting & Documentation:

  • Prepare detailed reports on risk profiles, risk mitigation plans, and ongoing risk monitoring activities for presentation to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of risk assessments, evaluations, and mitigation actions.

Enterprise Risk Framework & Tools:

  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the enterprise risk management framework, tools, and processes.
  • Implement best practices and stay current on industry trends and regulations related to risk management.

Compliance Assurance:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to risk management. Stay informed about changes in regulations and adjust policies and procedures accordingly.

Insurance Portfolio Management:

  • Assist in managing the company's insurance portfolio, including property, liability, workers' compensation, professional indemnity, cyber, and other specialized policies.

Claims Management:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external insurance providers to manage claims and ensure effective resolution.
  • Analyze claims data and provide insights to improve the company's risk profile and reduce future claims.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure risk management initiatives are integrated into day-to-day operations.
  • Educate and provide guidance to teams on risk management concepts, frameworks, and practices.
About You
  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or related field.
  • A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CRM, ARM, or FRM) is highly preferred.
  • Experience:
    5+ years of experience in risk management
  • Experience with risk assessment tools, frameworks, and methodologies (e.g., ISO 31000, COSO ERM).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex risk scenarios.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex risk concepts into clear and actionable recommendations.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in insurance negotiations, selecting brokers and carriers, and managing claims administration. This experience should demonstrate the ability to manage risk transfer and insurance programs effectively.
  • Previous supervisory or project team experience, with a proven track record of leading and mentoring teams, managing projects, and achieving organizational goals

Total RewardsThe annual pay range estimated for this position is $90,476.00 - $113,095.00 and is bonus eligible.

Please note that while this range reflects the full spectrum of compensation available for this role, individual compensation will be determined based on several factors including your experience, skills, and alignment with the role's responsibilities. During the interview process there will be an opportunity to discuss how your background fits into the pay range.
