Job description

The Sr Infrastructure Analyst creates and manages processes and enhancements for robust infrastructure workflow, resource planning, work management tools, performance tracking, and compliance auditing. This role bridges the gap between technical infrastructure needs and business efficiency, ensuring that systems are documented, compliant, and optimized for peak performance.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Process Engineering: Support and contribute to the documentation of "as is" and "to be" processes; describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required.
  • Requirements Gathering: Support collection of IT requirements using a variety of methods (interviews, document analysis, workflow analysis) to express requirements clearly and succinctly.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct research using primary data sources and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends to solve IT business problems.
  • Project Lifecycle Management: Identify, elicit, and document project/process requirements using appropriate modeling techniques. Define testing scripts and verification criteria to ensure requirements are met, maintaining traceability throughout the project.
  • Platform Administration: Manage and administer Jira and Confluence spaces for the Infrastructure team, ensuring workflows, permissions, and documentation structures support efficient team collaboration.
  • Performance Management: Create and maintain Team Performance measurements, including the definition and tracking of SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to ensure infrastructure reliability.
  • Documentation & Recovery: Create and maintain high-standard technical and user documentation; manage file backups to ensure instant recovery if problems occur.
  • Project Delivery: Deliver small- to medium-scale projects while working within an established program management plan, tracking project budgets and reporting variances.
  • Compliance & Audit: Carry out specified audit activities and draft reports of findings, specifically focusing on PCI and SOX reporting and recommended corrective actions.
  • Innovation & Growth: Support a culture of innovation by contributing to solutions like idea generation platforms and hackathons.
  • Professional Development: Develop own capabilities through training and coaching; maintain an understanding of external regulations, emerging technology, and industry best practices.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Plan and deliver stakeholder engagement activities to develop effective working relationships and ensure needs are identified and met.
Skills
Required:
  • Atlassian Administration: Expert-level administration of Jira Projects and Jira Service Desk, including workflow customization and space permissions.
  • Audit & Compliance: Advanced ability to interpret and collect PCI and SOX auditing data, identifying exceptions and developing remediation recommendations.
  • Planning & Execution: Plans, organizes, prioritizes, and oversees activities to efficiently meet objectives and resource project schedules.
  • Requirements Elicitation: Leads facilitated sessions for requirements elicitation, focus groups, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Financial Stewardship: Estimates and manages the effort and finances to complete work within budget; creates and monitors budgets in line with organizational criteria.
  • Risk & Stakeholder Management: Identifies and manages potential stakeholders and their expectations; plans for and prioritizes risks (threats and opportunities).
  • Analytical Thinking: Conducts gap analysis between current and future states; understands business architecture and envisions the future state of infrastructure products.
  • Business Case Development: Interprets or leads business case creation to quantify current costs, justify project investment, and identify ROI.
  • Data Governance: Acquires, organizes, protects, and processes data to fulfill business objectives and report on milestone status.
Education & Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level.
  • Experience: Experienced practitioner able to deal with the majority of situations and to advise others (3 to 6 years in Infrastructure or Systems Analysis).
  • Managerial Experience: Basic experience of coordinating the work of others and managing cross-functional workflows (4 to 6 months).
