Job description

The Senior Finance Operations Analyst supports finance operations by analyzing financial processes, data, controls, and system-enabled workflows to improve accuracy, efficiency, scalability, and risk management. You will partner with Finance, Accounting, Technology, Operations, and enterprise stakeholders to support financial reporting, operational analysis, process improvement, automation initiatives, and data-driven decision-making.
This is a hybrid position and may require you to occasionally work onsite at Humana's facility in Louisville, KY.

The position is expected to bring strong financial acumen and analytical rigor. It will also require process discipline and the ability to translate business needs into operational improvements. These improvements will be made across areas such as general accounting, accounts payable, fixed assets, procurement, treasury, tax, planning, or related finance capabilities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze finance operations processes, workflows, controls, and data to identify opportunities for standardization, efficiency, automation, and risk reduction.
  • Help to develop, maintain, and enhance operational reporting, reconciliations, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Investigate financial data discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop finance business requirements into clear functional needs for technology, data, reporting, and automation teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5 or more years of technical experience
  • Prior experience within the financial industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting or analytics tools

  • Experience with data extraction/manipulation with SQL
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
