Job description

The Strategic Sourcing Senior Analyst plays a vital role in sourcing direct materials for Tiffany's jewelry manufacturing. The Senior Analyst supports supplier relationship management and supplier development, providing valuable insights and analysis. The Senior Analyst develops a deep expertise of Tiffany's material supply chain and supplier base, directly supporting management's overall supplier strategy and meeting the master acquisition plan.

Key Accountabilities

Sourcing

Supports Make vs. Buy supplier selection activities based on detailed knowledge of supplier capabilities, performance history, and other relevant metrics

Initiates the new product development process in coordination with divisional counterparts; manages and negotiates new product costs throughout the development process

Communicates with divisional counterparts to meet function's overall strategy and needs, ensure Sourcing's ongoing value contribution

Works with management to identify and pursue cost reduction and process improvement opportunities

Helps to complete the execution of category management strategies and activities and of strategic sourcing process and approaches for assigned categories/sub-categories

Partners with peers, manager, and director on all corporate social responsibility initiatives and goals

Ad hoc projects as assigned

Metrics and Analysis

Leads the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for category to continuously evaluate supply base and identify strengths and opportunities; analyzes results and makes recommendations

Continuously supports the management of category benefits and other key performance metrics such as tracking against savings goals for the department, reporting on new product cost avoidance, etc.

Conducts supplier market analysis, category analysis and category risk analysis

Develops and maintains supplier scorecards Project Management

Plans category strategies and plans and conducts sourcing projects by engaging stakeholders and the required cross-functional resources for smaller spend sub-categories

Works with cross-functional project teams such as New Product Integration to achieve optimal timing for new product launches

Other Ad hoc projects and duties assigned Compliance

Ensures effective risk and compliance management

Leadership and Staff Development

Through professional presence and behaviors, inspire trust and integrity. Influence staff members at all levels through coaching, team-building and relationship building with business partners

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, including 1-2 years of project management experience

Bachelor's degree

Advanced proficiency in MS Office, including Excel (e.g., pivot tables, advanced formulas) and PowerBI (e.g., data visualization, dashboard creation)

Demonstrated analytical and statistical skills, including the ability to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks within large datasets

Proven ability to communicate complex subject matter in a clear, concise, and compelling manner, both verbally and in writing

Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to data accuracy

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree

Industry knowledge in jewelry manufacturing, precious metals, or diamonds and gemstones

Proficiency in a second language relevant to Tiffany & Co.'s global supply chain

Professional qualification / certification from related professional body, (ISM - CPM / CPSM, APICS)
