You'll support critical functions that ensure regulatory compliance and effective third-party oversight, helping to safeguard the company and its customers. This is a high-impact role with cross-functional exposure and opportunities for growth.
This is a hybrid role, 3-days a week, in downtown Chicago, IL.
What You'll Do
  • Lead regular testing of applicable BSA/AML/OFAC and consumer obligations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of controls designed to mitigate regulatory and operational risks.
  • Document testing results, identify issues and gaps, determine corrective action, and support issue tracking and resolution.
  • Assist in managing the company's third-party risk management (TPRM) program by supporting processes, maintaining documentation, and monitoring controls.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing risk assessments for vendors, focusing on areas like security practices, financial health, and compliance posture.
  • Support vendor onboarding by ensuring contracts and risk-related documentation are complete and compliant with company policies.
  • Stay up-to-date on key regulatory changes and best practices related to third party risk management.
  • Prepare summary reports and dashboards for leadership to communicate testing findings, open issues, and vendor risk trends.
  • Assist in building, configuring, and optimizing the GRC platform to automate compliance testing, centralize vendor risk assessments, and streamline issue management.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for SCRA and OFAC compliance, providing regulatory guidance

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in compliance testing, third-party risk management, vendor management, audit, or related risk and compliance functions within the banking, financial services, or fintech industries.
  • Working knowledge of consumer lending regulations is preferred; willingness to learn and develop expertise in this area is essential.
  • Professional certifications such as CRCM, CTPRP, CTPRA, or similar are preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and engage with external vendors.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using compliance, governance, risk management, or reporting systems.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to build subject matter expertise in compliance, regulatory risk, and third-party risk management.

$70,000 - $120,000 a year
