Job description

Description
Position Summary:
Tuuci is seeking a Senior Field Technician to serve as the on-site technical expert and face of Tuuci for our highest-value installations, including flagship residential and commercial projects, trade show builds, and other strategic, white-glove client engagements. This role requires a rare combination of hands-on installation craftsmanship, general contractor-level install expertise, and the polish to communicate complex technical details clearly and confidently to both technical trades (GCs, architects, engineers) and non-technical clients (homeowners, hospitality operators, designers). The ideal candidate is a self-directed problem solver who can work independently, mobilize and lead a local labor crew when needed, and consistently deliver a premium, white-glove customer experience that reflects the Tuuci brand.
Location and Reporting Structure:
This position is based in Miami and reports to the Technical Director, Marketing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the lead on-site technician for high-value product installs, trade show installations, and strategic/VIP client projects across the U.S. and internationally as needed.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Tuuci, the customer, and any third-party GCs, architects, or design teams on-site - translating technical specifications into clear, actionable guidance for all stakeholders.
  • Deliver a "white-glove" customer experience at every install, ensuring precision, professionalism, and attention to detail befitting Tuuci's premium brand positioning.
  • Independently diagnose and resolve on-site installation challenges (structural, mechanical, electrical/motorized components, site conditions) with minimal escalation, applying sound judgment and efficient problem-solving.
  • Recruit, coordinate, and lead local labor crews/subcontractors when additional manpower is required for larger or time-sensitive installs.
  • Review architectural drawings, site plans, and product specifications prior to installs to anticipate site-specific challenges and pre-plan logistics.
  • Conduct pre-installation site assessments and post-installation quality inspections; document completion with photos and reports for internal records and customer sign-off.
  • Provide real-time technical support and troubleshooting guidance to customers, dealers, and internal teams via phone/video when not on-site.
  • Maintain, organize, and transport tools, hardware, and installation equipment; ensure proper use of Tuuci-provided install kits and parts inventory.
  • Represent Tuuci at trade shows and industry events, managing booth/display installation and breakdown with showroom-quality standards under tight timelines.
  • Partner with Customer Service, Sales, and Product teams to relay field feedback on product performance, install feasibility, and design improvement opportunities.
  • Uphold all safety protocols and jobsite compliance standards, including ladder/lift safety, rigging, and OSHA guidelines.

Education and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of hands-on field installation experience, ideally within general contracting, high-end architectural products, outdoor living, marine, or luxury construction/millwork industries.
  • Proven background working as or alongside a General Contractor on complex, high-value installation projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally to both skilled trades and non-technical, high-net-worth or executive-level clients.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude; comfortable reading blueprints, structural drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Experience leading or coordinating small crews/subcontracted labor on short notice.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions independently under time pressure and changing site conditions.
  • Fluent English required (written and verbal); bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
  • Proficiency with basic tools of the trade, power tools, rigging equipment, and mobile technology for reporting/documentation.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record; ability to obtain passport/travel documentation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/trade certification, GC license, or relevant construction credential strongly preferred.

Travel & Physical Requirements:
  • Willing and able to travel frequently 50%, including multi-day trips, with limited notice, domestically and potentially internationally.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 75 lbs., work at heights (ladders/lifts), and perform physical installation tasks outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Comfortable working flexible/non-standard hours around trade show schedules and client availability.

What Success Looks Like:
A Senior Field Technician who becomes a trusted extension of Tuuci's brand on-site - someone clients specifically request, GCs respect as a peer, and the internal team relies on to close out the most demanding installs flawlessly and on schedule.
Tuuci Offers:
  • Health benefits, matching 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays, and personal days
  • A supportive and welcoming work environment that encourages professional growth and creativity
  • Opportunities to make an impact and lead a global brand in an exciting, growing industry
