We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team. The Senior Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other related financial activities. The work location for this position will be our main office in Carrollton, GA.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Assist with credit card transaction recording and reconciliation.
  • Assist controller with month end close process.
  • Review general ledger for possible reclassification of miscoded entries.
  • Review and/or prepare monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare necessary journal entries.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and analyze outstanding items for resolution.
  • Perform general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.
  • Assist controller in preparing for independent audit.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Associate's degree in Accounting, Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years accounting experience required, construction industry experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (with strong emphasis on Excel), industry software, and accounting software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
