SENIOR GROUND MAN — TREE REMOVAL/SERVICES GROUND CREW
Role/Purpose
Senior Ground Man serves as a lead ground technician, supporting climbers and helping guide less experienced crew members while maintaining high safety and productivity standards.
Core Responsibilities
  • Lead brush and cleanup operations
  • Operate chipper as primary ground operator
  • Assist with rigging operations and load control
  • Direct ground crew movements during cutting operations
  • Train and mentor entry-level ground men
  • Assist with traffic control setup and teardown

  • Enforce PPE compliance on the ground
  • Monitor drop zones and communicate with climbers
  • Identify hazards and correct unsafe behavior
