We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer III to support our USAF contract on Robbins AFB, GA. This project is in support of the 402d Software Engineering Group (SWEG) at Robins Air Force Base, GA. The Senior Engineer III supports the 402d SWEG's mission by working closely with engineers, developers, administrators and other technical teams supporting a variety of weapon system platforms and airframes such as the F-15 and F-35 fighters, the B-1B bomber, the C-5 and C-130 cargo planes, the MQ-9 Reaper and the HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter. All work will be performed on base.
Responsibilities
  • Participates in product sustainment, product development, lab support, and engineering services in support of the Operational Flight Program (OFP), Test Program Set (TPS), Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, and Mission Support (MS) business lines within the customer's organization

  • Assist in evaluating current systems, planning of large-scale system projects, purchasing, installing and support of network communications, including LAN/WAN systems.

  • Provides technical support to outside customers, such as System Program Offices

  • Provides acquisition support, independent verification and validation, and independent testing of externally acquired products

  • Provides consulting, research, analysis, reverse-engineering studies and other support tasks

  • Develop technical specifications and design documents

  • Work with stakeholders and manage project teams (internally) and/or externally

Requirements
  • Possess Secret security clearance

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering from an ABET accredited school

  • Minimum 15 years' experience with at least one of the following:

    • Electronic Warfare

    • Radar

    • Sensors and Fusion

    • Communications

    • Navigation

    • Identification

    • Tactical Data Links and Networks

    • Information Assurance

    • Avionics OFPs

    • Support Equipment

    • Simulations

    • Systems Integration

  • Strong English language skills (both written and verbal)

  • Interest in new technologies and the ability to adapt to those new technologies

  • Ability to lead a team and carry development workload

  • Ability to work in a collaborative, Agile/Scrum environment

Schedule
  • Facilities are open 6am-6pm - you can work with your customer leadership to set hours

  • You can flex time during the 2 week pay cycle - avoid using PTO for appointments

  • A compressed work schedule may be available at the discretion of work center leadership (i.e.4/10 or 9/80)
