Raytheon's Field Engineering team is looking for a Senior RADAR Field Engineer for our Advanced Surveillance Systems team. In this role you will be responsible for operations maintenance of Advanced Surveillance Systems in the National Capital Region (NCR). The position is part of a multi-disciplined site team and will support mission implementation, testing, and maintenance activities.
Position Location - Andrews AFB Base, MD

What You Will Do
  • Routine travel to the Program Systems Integration Lab (SIL) for System Familiarization/Orientation.
  • Potential working alternating shifts, on-call shifts, or a non-standard schedule.
  • Overnight travel within the NCR on a recurring basis.
  • Extended CONUS travel may be needed.
  • Monitor/operate systems, conduct preventive maintenance and provide on-call response at System Sites from a Designated Support Facility in the NCR.
  • Maintain shift and equipment logs.
  • Populate Field Engineering Notebooks and provide input to data trend analysis/source material for Technical Publications.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years' experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience operating, maintaining and/or troubleshooting, to include fault isolation and repair of radar systems or equivalent surveillance equipment.
  • Experience with current generation radar systems operation and test, to include basic radar philosophy, power-up / power-down, radar initialization, and equivalent system operations.
  • Experience with radar software operations.
  • Experience with supporting control systems, cabling, fiber optic cabling, and interconnect diagrams.
  • Experience reading and understanding test plans and procedures, design drawings, specifications and vendor technical documentation related to electronic/mechanical systems.
  • Experience with CISCO Switch, Router configuration, and Networking.

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to excel with minimal direction.
  • COMPTIA Security + Certification.
  • Windows Scripting.
  • SQL Database developer/scripting.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with peers, higher-ups, and customers in a timely/ positive manner.
  • Basic HVAC systems and remote backup generators knowledge.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
