Western Region Sales Director – Satcom Hardware

This position is located in the Western United States, preferably California, and reports to the Senior Vice President Business Development.

  • Identify, pursue, capture, and win new satellite equipment business to meet or exceed revenue budget.
  • Aggressively close Satcom business related to the existing customer base and pursue new clients to expand the customer base.
  • Meet personal and team revenue goals and forecast sales.
  • Provide effective account management and develop/maintain relationships with key customer personnel.
  • Develop innovative sales strategies and models to secure business.
  • Establish new sales distribution channels when needed and introduce new products and technologies to the customer base.
  • Provide feedback to management on customers’ needs, concerns, products and competitors.
  • Make decisions regarding sales strategies, commercial offers, and price negotiations; provide customers with quotations and product information.
  • Arrange and conduct presentations/demonstrations or site visits to influence client prospects.

  • Manage diverse multidisciplinary engineering teams from microwave/RF to electrical and mechanical to software design and implementation.

  • Lead development of system‑level architectures and decomposition into hardware and software lower‑level requirements.
  • Implement new or enhanced RF equipment and systems for satellite earth stations, gateways, IFE systems, and satellite‑on‑the‑move systems.
  • Introduce new products and technologies to both new and existing customers.
  • Provide feedback to management on customer needs, concerns, products, and competitors.
