Responsibilities
Duties: Develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software. Identify high-impact business challenges and define research opportunities in machine learning, optimization, signal processing and related areas. Develop and present research project proposals for senior management review and prioritization. Conduct business impact analysis to inform strategic decision-making. Establish and drive independent research agenda aligned with Epsilon's organizational objectives. Lead the research and development of proposed solutions and validation of the outcomes. Lead cross functional initiatives and coordinate multi-team collaboration across engineering and analytics
departments. Collaborate with team members to support ongoing research initiatives. Supervise and mentor interns and junior team members. Participate in troubleshooting efforts for technical incidents. Participate in recruitment and hiring decisions, including interviewing candidates, to support team growth.
Qualifications
Requirements: Employer will accept a Ph. D in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or one year of experience in any occupation in which the required experience was gained.
1. Utilize Linear Algebra, Probability & Statistics, Signal Processing, Detection & Estimation, Linear & Non-linear Optimization, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning to establish independent research agenda and lead the related research and development efforts.
2. Utilize programming languages, including python, shell-scripting, and data processing libraries, including numpy, pandas, scipy, scikit-learn, to perform data analysis, identify business problems, conduct business impact analysis, and lead research and development processes.
3. Utilize data visualization libraries, including matplotlib, seaborn, to effectively present research proposals and communicate business insights.
4. Utilize querying languages including SQL, HiveQL to read data from/write data to proprietary datasets.
5. Utilize PyTorch, Tensorflow, Keras, to design and recommend deep neural network architectures for predictive modelling.
6. Utilize knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Software Architectures to recommend optimized solutions and to ensure high code quality standards.
7. Utilize linux and command line interface to interact with compute servers.
8. Utilize distributed computing and big data processing to recommend computationally efficient solutions on compute clusters.
9. Utilize Jupyter notebooks to develop prototype solutions and collaborate with other team members.
10. Utilize version control systems, including Git, for code reproducibility and maintainability.
11. Utilize LaTex to create research proposals and technical reports, involving documentation of mathematical models.

Compensation Range: USD $169,199.79 - USD $177,659.77/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
