Job description

The Position:

Elligint Health is looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer to join our small, high-impact team responsible for maintaining and modernizing the infrastructure, monitoring, and operational processes that power our platform. We operate across multiple AWS accounts and are looking for someone who's energized by rearchitecting systems - not just maintaining them - and who genuinely enjoys the craft of Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tooling.

You'll play a key role in shaping the next generation of Elligint Health's platform: designing infrastructure as code that scales cleanly as we onboard new customers, keeping that infrastructure updated and secure over time, and building the monitoring foundation that keeps a growing, multi-account environment healthy - all while following DevOps best practices every step of the way.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Help architect the future platform Elligint Health will run on, design and execute its implementation
  • Develop and maintain IaC code to create production, test, stage and dev environments in our cloud environment
  • Monitor, Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as they arise
  • Update configuration management code to maintain consistency across our accounts
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to facilitate routine operations, testing, deployments and other tasks
  • Craft dashboards, monitors and alerts to keep our platform running smoothly and enable quick triage of incidents
  • Help automate manual tasks to make our team, the QA team, the development team, and our company more efficient

Qualifications:

  • Senior DevOps/SRE with hands-on experience supporting a customer facing SaaS platform
  • Deep understanding of DevOps best practices, patterns and anti-patterns, with a mindset towards security
  • Experience running and maintaining production environments in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Git, at least one IaC tool, configuration management systems, modern monitoring, logging and alerting platforms
  • Ability to write code in and debug at least one common programming language
  • Familiarity running containerized micro-services and building docker containers
  • Strong experience with Linux
  • Someone that can work independently on a small team in a startup-like environment
  • Bonus for experience with FedRAMP, HIPAA, MySQL, PHP, AWS, Ansible, Terraform and Groovy
  • U.S. citizenship and successful submission and approval of Public Trust federal clearance, per client contractual requirements

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) participation
  • Hybrid role based in our Edison, NJ office
  • We cannot sponsor visa applications for this role as it does require U.S. citizenship and successful submission and approval of 'Public Trust' federal clearance, per client contractual requirements
  • Opportunity to join a rapidly growing company and shape its future
