Hyve Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our products throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. As a key member of the Quality team, you will be responsible for verifying conformance to engineering specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory standards through comprehensive inspection, testing, documentation, and analysis activities.

This position serves as an essential quality gatekeeper within our manufacturing operations, helping to prevent defects, reduce operational risk, and ensuring customers receive products that meet the highest standards of excellence. The ideal candidate combines strong technical aptitude, analytical thinking, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Inspection & Product Verification

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections of materials, components, subassemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with established quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Conduct visual, dimensional, mechanical, and functional inspections using approved inspection methodologies and acceptance criteria.
  • Verify product conformance against engineering drawings, specifications, Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI), work instructions, Bills of Material (BOMs), and other technical documentation.
  • Utilize precision measurement and test equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, multimeters, torque tools, and other inspection instruments to validate product quality.
  • Assess product workmanship, configuration, labeling, and assembly integrity to ensure compliance with internal standards and customer requirements.
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI), validation activities, and special inspection projects as assigned.
  • Identify, quarantine, and document nonconforming materials and products while ensuring proper escalation and containment procedures are followed.

Documentation & Quality Systems

  • Accurately record inspection results, defect data, and disposition information within Quality Management Systems (QMS), ERP platforms, and manufacturing databases.
  • Generate detailed inspection reports, nonconformance reports (NCRs), corrective action documentation, and quality records that support traceability and audit readiness.
  • Maintain organized and compliant documentation in accordance with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Support internal audits, customer audits, and compliance initiatives by providing accurate quality records and inspection data.
  • Ensure quality documentation remains current, complete, and aligned with established procedures.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

  • Assist with root cause analysis investigations by collecting data, documenting findings, and supporting corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to resolve quality concerns and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Analyze recurring quality trends, defects, scrap, and rework data to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive a proactive quality culture by identifying risks and recommending preventive measures before issues impact production or customers.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with production teams to ensure quality requirements are clearly understood and consistently executed.
  • Participate in daily production and quality meetings to communicate inspection findings, quality metrics, and operational concerns.
  • Serve as a trusted quality resource by providing guidance on inspection criteria, quality standards, and documentation requirements.
  • Support training initiatives by reinforcing standardized inspection practices and quality expectations across manufacturing operations.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing, electronics, server, data center, automotive, aerospace, or other high-tech production environment.
  • Experience performing incoming, in-process, and final product inspections.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and apply:
    • Engineering drawings
    • Blueprints
    • Process specifications
    • Manufacturing work instructions
    • Bills of Material (BOMs)
    • Quality standards and procedures
  • Hands-on experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy.
