Astronics Advanced Electronic Systems (AES) is seeking a Sr. Quality Engineer to join our cohesive team of professional problem solvers in Redmond, WA . Job Summary As a Sr.

Quality Engineer, you will develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures for sourcing reliable materials and ensuring product compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. You'll oversee manufacturing processes, monitor compliance, manage supplier quality, conduct defect analysis, and lead corrective actions. Additionally, you'll ensure documentation and regulatory standards are met, while driving continuous improvement across production operations.

Duties & Responsibilities Manage Quality Assurance of assigned Products/Processes/Programs, monitor controls, define performance indicators and analyze trends to identify, prioritize and resolve issues Facilitate root cause analysis and perform corrective action and manage timely and effective implementation of corrective and preventative actions following established methods Perform Internal Audits and assist with 3rd Party Audits. Present findings and evidence of compliance to Certification Authorities and Customers Represent Quality department as a SME in cross functional teams Proactively identify and document best practices, coach and train other team members Minimum Requirements Education/Experience Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering discipline (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Material Science, Computer Science, or similar), preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of Engineering degree Proficiency in the duties of this role which is usually achieved with 5+ years of direct experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Contributing at a high level with minimal supervision Passion for improvement, process base thinking, and evidence-based decisions Knowledge and experience with ISO/AS9100D QMS, auditing and enforcement Experience with Control of Nonconforming Material and First Articles (MRB) Experience with initiating and leading corrective and preventative actions. Including proper selection and application of techniques such as Operational Excellence Tools (8D, 5 Why, Fish Bone, DMAIC) to obtain effective solutions Experience with New product Development Demonstration of ability to resolve issues in partnership with internal and external stakeholders Good organizational and planning skills Good word processing (MS Word), spreadsheet (MS Excel), and document management (Adobe Acrobat) software. Microsoft Teams, One Note and Share Point a plus Good verbal and written communication skills including ability to write reports, procedures and presentations Employment Eligibility Requirements This position may involve access to items subject to U.S

An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background screen and drug test inclucing cannabis screening. Compensation Base salary range: $94,208 - $141,313 per year. (Mid-point: $117,760 ).

Factors such as education, experience, skills and market conditions influence the actual salary. It is not typical to be hired at or near the top of the range. Bonus: Highly competitive Quarterly Profit Sharing Bonus.
