Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Quality Control Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to work on a multi-year design-build construction contract at Holston Army Ammunition Plant.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • As a Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality control procedures to ensure the highest level of standards are met as outlined in the USACE - CQM course.

  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with established quality standards

  • Communicate and collaborate with project managers and team members to identify and address any quality issues

  • Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions

  • Communicate with clients to understand their quality expectations and ensure those expectations are met

  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure quality standards are met by suppliers and vendors

  • Provide regular reports and updates to management on quality control activities and outcomes.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Must have or be able to obtain a US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Contractors Quality Management Certificate (CQM)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Business, or Quality discipline or related field (or equivalent work experience)

  • 4+ years of work experience in Quality, or related field

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely and effective manner

  • Promptly complete and furnish all letters, material submittals, shop drawing submittals, schedules and all other project documentationto the CQC organization

  • Strong computer knowledge/skills


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Previous USACE or NAVFAC CQM experience

  • Extensive knowledge of USACE, NAVFAC, Federal, and Military construction standards and regulations

  • Working knowledge of the USACE EM385-1-1 manual
