Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, document, and execute comprehensive test cases for banking and payment transaction workflows across APIs, integrations, and event-driven systems
  • Validate solution quality, resilience, testability, reliability, and performance throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Test critical payment processing workflows across distributed architectures, messaging platforms, and event processing systems
  • Develop and execute test strategies spanning API, integration, end-to-end, and non-functional testing activities
  • Support and contribute to test automation efforts, including API, integration, and end-to-end automation initiatives
  • Create and maintain automated test assets where required by the team
  • Analyze quality metrics, defect trends, and operational insights to improve testing effectiveness and reduce risk
  • Identify, document, and communicate testing gaps, technical risks, quality debt, and optimization opportunities
  • Partner closely with development, architecture, product, and business teams to embed quality throughout the solution lifecycle
  • Track defects, test execution activities, and quality metrics using Jira and related quality management platforms
  • Support the ongoing evolution of QA, automation, and quality engineering best practices across the organization

Skills & Experience You Should Possess

  • 5-7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, quality engineering, API testing, or integration testing
  • Strong hands-on experience testing APIs, including validation of request/response structures, payloads, integration points, and transaction workflows
  • Experience testing event-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Kafka or similar technologies
  • Proven ability to create test cases, execute testing activities, analyze outcomes, and manage defects through resolution
  • Strong understanding of integration testing methodologies and end-to-end business process validation
  • Experience working within Agile software delivery environments
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize testing activities based on business risk and impact
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across both technical and business audiences
  • Bilingual communication skills in French and English

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience within banking, financial services, payments, or other highly regulated industries
  • Experience testing payment processing systems or financial transaction platforms
