Senior Python Developer
Location: Jersey City, New Jersey (Onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Python Developer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for the analysis and development of applications on a proprietary trading platform. This role involves building out and supporting a remote risk stack for various asset classes and developing analytics and pricing components for a hedge accounting platform. The position requires participation in the design and development of applications and collaboration with multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and develop applications on the Quartz trading platform.
• Build out and support the remote risk stack for various asset classes traded by Global Funding/CIO desks.
• Develop analytics and pricing components for the FAS133 hedge accounting platform.
• Drive and participate in the design and development of applications.
• Work with multiple teams across the organization on application development.
• Design and develop using modern technologies such as API management, REST/API integration, Containers, and Microservices.

Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of Python.
• Experience with SQL.
• Knowledge of various financial instruments, including Bonds, Interest rate swaps, Repo, and FX products.
• Understanding of risk and P/L generation for the specified financial instruments.
• Experience in Web UI technologies such as Angular and Spring.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools.

General Skills:

• Extensive experience using design and architectural patterns.
• Creative, quick-thinking, and an aptitude for solving problems with technology.
• Ability to work both independently and within a high-functioning team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior Capital Markets experience.
• Experience working on the Quartz remote risk framework and calculators.
• Knowledge of key Quartz components like Sandra, Bob, and Hugs.
