About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn't a buzzword - it's a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Applications will be accepted until 10/12/2026.

The Experience:
We are seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff to design, build, and ship autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agents integrated with our platform. In this role, you will work at the intersection of LLM orchestration, tool-use frameworks, and production engineering-turning agentic prototypes into reliable, scalable, enterprise-grade systems. As a recognized SME and hybrid engineer, you will own complex functionality from end-to-end design to delivery and operation, while guiding team execution and quality standards.
What You'll Actually Be Doing:

  • Agentic Systems Engineering: Design, build, and deploy multi-step, tool-using AI agents (planning, reasoning, memory, tool invocation) and integrate them with APIs, databases, and enterprise systems (e.g., Salesforce, Slack).
  • Architecture & Orchestration: Evaluate and select agent frameworks/orchestration patterns (ReAct, planner-executor, multi-agent, etc.) and optimize deployments for latency, cost, and production reliability.
  • Agile Execution & Technical Delivery: Independently deliver high-quality, complex features across the entire lifecycle (design, execution, testing, review). Assist in slicing epics, defining tasks, and managing dependencies alongside PMs and Scrum Masters.
  • Guardrails, Monitoring & Operations: Build robust evaluation harnesses and guardrails to prevent hallucinations, drift, and unsafe tool calls. Proactively monitor features in production, lead incident handling (TTx), and contribute to PRBs/RCAs.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Act as a SME and technical coach for AMTS/MTS engineers via pair programming and reviews. Present planned and delivered work to leadership and technical audiences, and partner with Tech Writers on documentation.

You're Our Person If:

  • Experience: 4+ years of software engineering experience, including hands-on experience building and deploying LLMs/agentic systems in production environments.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong Python skills with mastery of agent orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, AutoGen, custom frameworks) or ability to construct frameworks from scratch.
  • AI Concepts: Deep understanding of prompt engineering, tool-calling/function-calling patterns, RAG, and evaluation strategies for non-deterministic systems.
  • Systems & Architecture: Solid expertise in API integrations, async systems, distributed architectures, and modern software design patterns.
  • Communication & Leadership: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of cross-functional alignment, technical coaching, and constructive code reviews.

Even Better If:

  • Experience with enterprise SaaS architectures, the Salesforce ecosystem, multi-agent coordination, or emerging protocols like MCP.
