KPMG’s Management Consulting practice helps organizations leverage change. The Data, Analytics and Automation team helps organizations unlock value from data and AI by enabling data-informed decision-making through strategy, governance, and operating model design in complex enterprise environments.

We help organizations to become data driven! Will you collaborate with us?

Our Team
As a Senior Manager in Data, Analytics and Automation, you will be a part of our Technology Consulting (Data, Analytics and Automation) practice within KPMG. This is a worldwide network of professionals who collaborate on a daily basis to create value from data. Enterprise Data Management integrates and is the connecting link with other data focused advisory services including Business Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, Digital Transformation, Enterprise Solutions and Data Security. We collaborate across service offerings on data driven solutions. And that is why Forrester Research has recently recognized KPMG as one of the most prominent advisory firms in Data & Analytics!

The successful candidate will lead data modernization strategy and transformation engagements, helping organizations define how data is governed, managed, and leveraged as a strategic asset.

This role focuses on strategy, design, and advisory. You will work closely with executive stakeholders to define data visions, operating models, and governance frameworks that enable scalable and sustainable data capabilities.

What you will do

  • Define and design data operating models (e.g., federated, domain-based, data product-oriented)
  • Establish data governance frameworks, including ownership models, stewardship structures, and decision rights
  • Design data management capabilities including metadata, lineage, data quality, and master data management
  • Advise on data platform modernization (e.g., Databricks, cloud ecosystems) at a strategic and architectural level
  • Facilitate executive workshops to align on data vision, priorities, and investment cases
  • Define data product strategies and support domain-oriented data ownership models
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives and data capabilities
  • Provide thought leadership on regulatory and risk considerations (e.g., privacy, financial reporting, data controls)
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and communicate complex data concepts to business and technical audiences
  • Support the development of new data advisory offerings and go-to-market strategies
  • Mentor and develop team members across data strategy, governance, and transformation

What you bring to the role

  • 10+ years of experience in data strategy, data governance, or enterprise data management in a consulting role
  • Proven experience leading data transformation or modernization initiatives
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, operating models, and data management practices
  • Experience advising on modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, cloud ecosystems) at a conceptual level
  • Strong ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and executives
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data concepts into business value
  • Experience in financial services or insurance is considered an asset
  • Familiarity with regulatory environments (e.g., data privacy, financial reporting) is considered an asset
