Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Senior Python AI - AI/Agentic Systems for a contract assignment with one of our premier Healthcare Services clients in Jacksonville, FL. (Occasional onsite visits required to office)
This is a W-2 opportunity due to client requirements.
The client is unable to provide sponsorship, facilitate visa transfers, or engage third-party C2C candidates.
The final interview will be conducted in person in Jacksonville, FL.
This role has the potential to convert to a full-time employee (FTE) position.

Responsibilities :
Seeking a Senior AI Developer with specialized expertise in Python-based agentic AI systems to join our enterprise development team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated AI agent architectures that support our organization's digital transformation initiatives while maintaining compliance with enterprise security and governance standards.
  • Architecture & Development
    • Design and implement production-grade AI agent systems using LangGraph and AgentCore frameworks
    • Develop and maintain agentic AI solutions that integrate with enterprise systems while adhering to security standards and configuration baselines
    • Build and optimize MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and clients for seamless agent-to-system communication
    • Architect scalable Python-based applications supporting complex AI workflows and multi-agent orchestration
  • Security & Compliance
    • Ensure all developed systems comply with organizational security standards, including Database Technology Security Standard (1500) and Secure Coding and Application Design Security Standard (2509)
    • Implement secure coding practices aligned with CIS and DISA STIG guidelines
    • Collaborate with Information Security to integrate technical controls and security baselines into agent systems
    • Maintain audit trails and nonrepudiation requirements for all data transformation operations performed by AI agents
    • Ensure systems do not leverage unapproved databases or persist restricted/confidential data on end-user devices
  • Integration & Operations
    • Integrate AI agents with enterprise databases and applications following vendor recommendations and tested configurations
    • Work with Architecture Review Board processes for technology evaluation and implementation approval
    • Support deployment of agents in SOC2 and HITRUST-compliant environments
    • Maintain systems at vendor-approved release versions to protect against known security vulnerabilities
  • Collaboration & Knowledge Management
    • Partner with Information Security and Database Administration teams on security implementation and incident response
    • Participate in security exception request processes when necessary
    • Contribute to organizational security awareness and best practices documentation
    • Stay current with AI/ML security trends, threat intelligence, and emerging vulnerabilities
Required Skills:
  • Related Bachelor's degree in an IT related field or relevant work experience
  • 5-8 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of transferable experience demonstrating proficiency and experience in design, implementation, monitoring and troubleshooting technology
  • 5+ years professional Python development experience
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with LangGraph framework and agentic AI system design
  • 2+ years demonstrated expertise building and deploying AI Agents in production environments
  • 2+ years experience developing and managing MCP servers and clients
  • 2+ years working with AgentCore or equivalent enterprise AI orchestration frameworks
  • Strong understanding of multi-agent system architecture and agent communication patterns
  • Proficiency in secure coding practices and application security design
  • Experience with enterprise database technologies and data governance
  • Security & Compliance Knowledge
    • Demonstrated understanding of healthcare/enterprise security standards and compliance frameworks
    • Experience implementing audit logging and nonrepudiation controls
    • Familiarity with SOC2, HITRUST, or equivalent compliance requirements
    • Knowledge of CIS and DISA STIG guidelines as applied to application development
  • Professional Competencies
    • Advanced problem-solving and system design capabilities
    • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with security and infrastructure teams
    • Ability to balance innovation with security and compliance requirements
    • Experience working in regulated environments (healthcare, financial services, or equivalent)
