Job Title: Senior Python AWS developer

Location: Reston, VA (Onsite – In-person interview)

Experience: 10+ years

Candidate Preference: Local to DMV area

Work Type: 100% hands-on technical role

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Python AWS Developer with 10+ years of IT experience and strong hands-on expertise in Python, AWS services, databases, and SQL. The consultant will design, develop, and support scalable cloud-based applications and data solutions.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of overall IT experience.
  • Strong hands-on Python development experience.
  • Experience with AWS services, including:
  • AWS Glue
  • Amazon SNS and SQS
  • AWS Lambda
  • Strong database and SQL skills.
  • Good understanding of cloud infrastructure and relevant domain concepts.
  • Experience developing, troubleshooting, and supporting production applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with technical teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Apache Iceberg
  • Terraform
  • Infrastructure-as-Code experience

Note: This is a 100% hands-on development role. Candidates currently located in Virginia or within commuting distance of Reston, VA are preferred.
