Introduction


Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Senior Purchasing Agent position in Orlando, FL. This position is a direct hire opportunity which is expected to be on-site.


Job Description:


Global sourcing of materials and outside processes.
Negotiation of price and delivery of materials for different plants.
Create various reports as required.
Vendor management and consolidation.
Manage inventory levels to ensure on-time delivery to customers while maximizing company cash flow.
Participate in the establishment of strategic purchasing policies and metrics.


Qualified candidates would have the following:


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Understanding of ERP/MRP Systems; Microsoft Dynamic preferred
Strong analytical skills with the ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and meet procurement deadlines.
Thorough understanding of contracts, purchasing procedures and procurement process.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Ability to work cohesivity in a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.*
Attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy and compliance in purchasing documentation
Ability to manage supplier relationships, ensuring quality, delivery, and service standards are met.
Excellent negotiation skills, with a proven ability to secure favorable commercial outcomes
Ability to support and guide junior purchasing staff.
Must be able to work with ITAR data without a license.

Education, Experience and Training:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, and/or Engineering
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role in a $20-$50 million manufacturing company.
