Job description

A well-established general contractor with a strong national presence is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead major commercial construction projects in Edmonton. Renowned for delivering technically complex, high-value work, this organization operates across healthcare, institutional, mixed-use, and commercial sectors and offers a collaborative, performance-driven environment.


As a Senior Project Manager, you will act as the primary project leader, accountable for the successful delivery of large-scale commercial building projects, typically valued at $50M+. This role requires exceptional leadership across site operations, safety, quality, scheduling, and financial performance, while overseeing multidisciplinary teams of site staff, trades, and subcontractors.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, ranging from $30M–$150M
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Drive project schedules, budgets, and quality standards with accuracy and accountability
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to junior team members, supporting a high-performance culture
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation throughout the project lifecycle


Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in commercial construction, including 5+ years in a project management role
  • Proven success managing large, complex commercial projects with budgets exceeding $50M
  • Strong leadership presence with excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with multiple stakeholders
