Job Description:

Project EngineerSummary:The Project Engineer will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Project Managers (PMs) and other key people within the organization with day-to-day tasks such as bidding, scheduling, contracts, billing and collection, etc. Responsibilities:
  • Assists the PMs with all duties, including but not limited to: oSafety oSoftware and applications (HCSS, financials, scheduling, etc.) oTake-offs oBidding oBuilding (grading, paving, milling, subcontractors) oScheduling oEquipment use oContracts and negotiation oBilling and collection oSpecifications oBeginning knowledge of mix designs, plants, and aggregate sites (manufacturing) oGeneral business operations (understands details of company operations)
  • In conjunction with the other Project Engineers and PMs, ensures the daily, weekly, and monthly tasks are addressed in a timely fashion
  • Spends time with Operations, PMs, Scheduling and some exposure to Manufacturing and Technical Services
  • Attends project meetings (pre-construction, pre-pave, scheduling, etc.)
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, vocational training, certification from an accredited organization or combination of schooling and relevant work experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, consulting, conflict management, and interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
