Senior Project Manager – Manufacturing

Location: Fort Pierce, FL (On-site) - Open to Relocation

Salary: $110,000 – $140,000 per year

Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Ascendo Resources is representing a large manufacturing company seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager to oversee complex engineering and fabrication projects from initiation through completion.

The organization manufactures process equipment, pressure vessels, piping systems, and engineered components used across industries including municipal water and wastewater, energy, industrial processing, oil and gas, and other public and private-sector applications. Cross-functional teams of engineers, technicians, welders, machinists, and production professionals collaborate to support the design, fabrication, testing, and delivery of highly engineered products.

Position Overview

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating and completing multiple projects on time, within budget, and within scope. This individual will oversee all phases of project execution, establish timelines, assign responsibilities, monitor progress, and provide regular project status updates to leadership.

The role requires close collaboration with engineering, design, production, quality, customers, and outside vendors to ensure projects meet technical requirements, quality standards, budget expectations, and delivery schedules.

The Senior Project Manager will also help manage the flow of information between project stakeholders, ensuring teams remain aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors to support the successful execution of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Review and execute projects in accordance with project plans, drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
  • Develop, organize, and obtain approvals for product submittals and technical documentation.
  • Manage changes to project scope, schedules, and costs using appropriate project controls and verification techniques.
  • Balance risk management and cost optimization to minimize project risk while supporting profitability.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate the procurement of materials in accordance with project plans, specifications, and approved submittals.
  • Manage project budgets and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.
  • Develop detailed project plans and schedules to monitor progress and communicate updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, process maps, and other documentation to support project execution.
  • Review and maintain minor revisions to CAD models and Bills of Material.
  • Participate in QA/QC processes and ensure project deliverables meet applicable quality standards.
  • Assist with training and mentoring Project Managers and Estimators.
  • Perform additional project-related duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, such as Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, or a comparable discipline.
  • 10+ years of Project Management experience within a manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable ASME piping and pressure vessel codes and standards.
  • Strong knowledge of 3D CAD modeling, technical drawings, and machine design.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, turning, milling, fabrication, and welding.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across engineering, production, quality, vendors, and customers.
