Job Title: Project Engineer

Salary: Competitive compensation package based on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the project team primarily with the pump station construction
  • Keep track of subcontractor schedules to ensure project delivery on time. Track progress vs. schedule.
  • Field quantify and log production quantities for use in scheduling and submission of progress estimates to the owner
  • Assist in scheduling material deliveries and coordinate with vendors to ensure delivery of materials as required
  • Track and log materials delivered on site for use in invoice approval and submission of stored materials pay requests
  • Monitor and log quality control requirements.
  • Verify that code standards are followed. Ensure inspections are being coordinated
  • Make sure all applicable safety measures are adhered to
  • Assist in the review, tracking and logging of submittal documents
  • Ensure subcontractor daily reports are completed

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Able to communicate in a professional manner with the team, owner and subcontractors
  • Work well in a team. Willing to support other team members.
  • Able to process information / contract documents to make informed decisions
  • Time management and organization
  • Capable of negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Proficient at understanding project plans and specifications
  • Able to identify potential change orders / clarification via RFI when discrepancies are found in the contract documents
  • Proficient in MS Word / Excel / Outlook

 Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone.
