Coalesce Management Consulting (CMC) is a specialist consultancy delivering engineering and project professionals to leading utility and energy companies across North America.

We're looking for a Senior Projects Cost Analyst to support major capital generation projects valued at $500M+. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile infrastructure programs while developing your expertise in project controls, forecasting, and cost management.

What You'll Do
  • Support capital projects from development through execution.
  • Develop and maintain project cost baselines and forecasts.
  • Monitor project budgets, accruals, cash flow, and spending.
  • Review EPC contractor invoices, change orders, and payment milestones.
  • Perform cost variance, contingency, and risk analysis.
  • Produce monthly KPI and project performance reports.
  • Partner with project managers, engineering teams, contractors, and finance stakeholders.
  • Leverage tools including Power BI, Cognos, Maximo, ERP systems, and cost management software to drive project insights.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience supporting utility or large capital infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of project controls, cost forecasting, budgeting, and commercial contracts.
  • Experience reviewing EPC contractor costs and change management.
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience with ERP and reporting platforms such as SAP, Cognos, Power BI, Maximo, Oracle, EcoSys, or similar.
  • Understanding of cost, schedule, and risk integration within capital projects.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience supporting power generation or utility capital projects.
  • Familiarity with regulatory environments supporting large infrastructure programs.
  • AACE Certified Cost Technician (CCT) or Certified Cost Professional (CCP) is a plus.
