Job description

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our team and oversee certain aspects of multi-family projects, primarily the documentation and controls that support the construction process. The main goal of this position is to ensure that the project meets the intent of the contract documents. This is an exciting opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented professional with a background in construction who enjoys being at the center of project operations and ensuring all moving parts stay on track.
About the Role:
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the oversight and organization of project control documents. This role is integral to project communication, project administration, and document control. If you're passionate about construction management, skilled in document control and scheduling, and thrive in a fast-paced environment-this position is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and organize submittals, RFI's, show drawings, plan logs, permit logs, procurement logs, and compliance documentation
  • Coordinate and input schedules, safety inspections, and quality checks
  • Manage meeting minutes
  • Ensure all trades, systems, and sources have been fully examined for compliance, coordination, and appropriate approvals
  • Provide support to project managers and superintendents

What You Bring:
  • Experience: 2+ years in construction or related field, and/or bachelor's degree in construction management or a related discipline. Moderate knowledge of multiple project types and trades. Participate in mid-size projects to large size projects.
  • Systems Knowledge: Proficient in Bluebeam, Procore, Excel, Word, Outlook, Zoom, MS Teams, AutoCAD (viewing)
  • Skills: Proficient in plan reading, technical reading and writing, and critical thinking
  • Attributes: Dedicated, resourceful, articulate, curious, analytical, reliable, organized, punctual.

Position:
  • Reports to Project Manager and Senior Project Manager

Physical Requirements:
  • Desk and computer-based work.
  • Inspect job sites: walk 2-3 miles, climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolding.
  • Lift up to 15 pounds at a time
  • Commute to job sites
