Senior Project Management Specialist

Product Security Engineering (PSE) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Management Specialist in Seattle, WA or Everett, WA. Product Security, also known as Cybersecurity, is focused on ensuring new airplane designs meet the rigorous industry standards necessary to protect against Intentional Unauthorized Electronic Interaction (IUEI). This role will support Product Security engineering teams by scoping projects, creating integrated plans, coordinating across teams to balance resource workloads, and playing a key role in leading the team through project execution.
Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.
Primary responsibilities:
  • Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.
  • Performs studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives.
  • Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project.
  • Facilitates and ensures integration of project/program plan, schedules, change and baseline management, processes, techniques considered to be standard methodologies across the industry.
  • Works to improve project management and integrated scheduling processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision makers.
  • Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
  • Coordinates commitments with internal and external partners to fulfill strategies.
  • Assists customers to develop performance recovery plan and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with Integrated Scheduling
  • 5+ years supporting cross-functional teams
  • 5+ years of experience identifying and communicating business requirements with cross-functional and/or cross-business teams
  • 5+ years of experience do you have leading teams and/or leading initiatives
  • 5+ years of experience do you have working directly with executives or senior leaders
  • Experience with Microsoft office suite

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
  • Experience in data analysis, trending, and reporting
  • Experience using Open Plan Professional (OPP)
  • Experience with Program, Project and Product Management Best Practices
  • Experience as a Project Manager or Scrum Master
  • Experience leading an Agile team using Agile methodologies
  • Experience do you have in Business Intelligence/data analytics tools (Microsoft Power BI, Dashboards, SQL, Tableau, etc.)
