Continental’s Business Development Group works on highly visible strategic initiatives, including acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, capital investment programs and divestitures.The ideal candidate will serve as a financial and commercial representative within the Business Development Group, supporting the evaluation, structuring and execution of strategic opportunities. This individual will integrate technical, operational and financial information to develop investment analyses, assess transaction economics and provide recommendations to executive management.**Duties and Responsibilities*** Performs and leads financial and economic evaluations of acquisition, divestiture, joint venture and other strategic opportunities.* Serves as a financial and commercial representative on multidisciplinary transaction teams.* Develops, reviews and maintains detailed valuation models, cash flow forecasts, investment returns and transaction scenarios.* Integrates engineering, operational, commercial, accounting and market assumptions into comprehensive financial analyses.* Evaluates transaction structures, purchase price allocations, funding requirements and potential financial impacts.* Conducts financial lookbacks and post-investment reviews to compare actual performance against underwriting assumptions.* Performs sensitivity, scenario or management consulting.* Knowledge of the upstream oil and gas industry.* Experience evaluating joint ventures, partnerships or complex transaction structures.* Advanced knowledge with financial reporting, accounting, taxation, commodity pricing or capital markets concepts applicable to upstream oil and gas investments.* An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.**Preferred Qualifications*** Master of Business Administration other advanced degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.* International oil and gas experience, including the evaluation of assets, transactions or investment opportunities outside the United States.* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.* Experience with Microsoft Access, ARIES, business
