PLC Controls Technician — Brooklyn, NY
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday-Friday 

Overview:
We're seeking a skilled PLC Controls Technician to support automation equipment across a commercial kitchen facility, with a primary focus on an ILPRA tray sealing machine running Mitsubishi controls and a GSI labeling/printing system.
 
Responsibilities:
·       Program, troubleshoot, and maintain Mitsubishi PLC-controlled automation equipment, primarily the ILPRA tray sealing machine
·       Diagnose and resolve electrical and controls issues to minimize equipment downtime
·       Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and electrical diagrams
·       Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts usage, and equipment status
·       Collaborate with the senior electrical technician and broader maintenance team
·       Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on site
·       Support kitchen equipment/appliance repair as needed (not required, but valued)
 
Requirements:
·       Strong Mitsubishi PLC programming and troubleshooting experience — core requirement
·       Electrical troubleshooting experience
·       Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
·       Prior experience in a food production, commercial kitchen, or industrial/manufacturing environment strongly preferred
·       Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a physically demanding environment
·       Comfortable working with specialty/niche industrial packaging equipment
·       Team-oriented, proactive, strong culture fit
 
Nice to have:
·       Experience with packaging/labeling equipment controls
