Quanta actively promotes and maintains a culture of belonging where all employees can be themselves, live their values, and find opportunities to succeed. When you join our team, you join a dynamic organization in which career development is encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is prized. Come find out how our people power modern life.

About this Role

We are seeking a Senior ITSM/ITAM Platform Engineer to lead the initial development and the ongoing administration of our enterprise IT Service Management and IT Asset Management platform. Today that platform is ServiceNow, and the role is anchored in ServiceNow; an active evaluation of alternatives (including Ivanti Neurons and Freshworks) is underway, so platform-agnostic ITSM fundamentals matter as much as product-specific depth. You will be the senior technical owner - designing the build, configuring and developing the platform, directing any third-party delivery partner, and running the platform as a durable, well-governed service after go-live.

What You'll DoLead Initial Development of the Platform

You will own the technical design and build of the rebooted ITSM/ITAM environment. Working hands-on alongside the architecture team and any third-party implementation partner, you translate business requirements into well-structured platform configuration and development - setting standards for data models, workflows, integrations, and configuration-versus-customization decisions. You bring enough depth to be the credible technical authority in the room and to push back on over-customization that would not scale.

Administer and Operate the Platform

Once live, you own the platform as an ongoing service. You are responsible for day-to-day administration, release management, upgrades, performance, security and access control, and the health of integrations. You keep the platform current, stable, and aligned to ITIL-based service management practices, and you build the operational discipline that keeps it dependable as adoption grows across the operating companies.

Build and Maintain the Service Catalog and ITAM Foundations

You implement and maintain a complete, well-structured service catalog and the underlying request, incident, change, and problem workflows. On the asset side, you stand up and steward the CMDB and asset lifecycle data so that hardware, software, and license information is accurate and actionable. You treat completeness, data quality, and usability of the catalog as first-class engineering concerns.

Integrate and Automate

You design and build integrations between the ITSM/ITAM platform and the surrounding ecosystem (identity, endpoint, discovery, HR, finance, and operating-company systems). You bring an automation-first mindset - replacing manual effort and tribal knowledge with workflows, discovery, and patterns that hold up as Quanta grows.

Direct Delivery Partners and Govern the Build

You lead third-party consultants and delivery partners to Quanta's vision and standards - leveraging their expertise while holding them accountable to architectural patterns, ITIL-aligned process design, and quality. You establish the governance and change-control framework that keeps the platform trustworthy without becoming a bottleneck.

Partner Across the Organization

You work directly with Enterprise IT, process owners, security, and operating-company stakeholders. You own the technical perspective on what good looks like, advise on platform direction (including the ServiceNow-versus-alternatives evaluation), and turn operational complexity into clear, supportable patterns.

What You'll Bring
  • ITIL certification - required. ITIL v4 Foundation or higher; you apply service-management practice in real platform and process design, not just in theory.
  • 6+ years working hands-on with an enterprise ITSM platform, with significant depth in ServiceNow - including ITSM and ITAM/CMDB modules.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the implementation or major rebuild of an ITSM platform, from requirements through design, build, and go-live.
  • Strong hands-on administration and development skills: workflow/flow design, catalog and form configuration, scripting, ACLs and security, integrations (REST/SOAP, IntegrationHub or equivalent), and upgrade/release management.
  • Service catalog design and ITAM/CMDB experience - building a complete, well-structured catalog and maintaining accurate asset and configuration data.
  • Experience directing third-party delivery partners - leading them to your standards while holding them accountable to architecture and quality.
  • Platform-agnostic ITSM fundamentals strong enough to evaluate and operate alternative platforms (e.g., Ivanti Neurons, Freshworks) on their merits.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder skills; you will work directly with IT leadership, delivery partners, and operating-company stakeholders.
  • Structured problem-solving - decomposing messy requirements, designing governed processes, and turning complexity into clear, maintainable patterns.
Strongly Preferred
  • ServiceNow certifications - Certified System Administrator (CSA) and one or more Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) credentials (e.g., ITSM, Discovery, or HAM/SAM).
  • Experience in construction, engineering, energy, or infrastructure-services industries.
  • Experience supporting operating companies in a federated structure where business units keep their autonomy alongside a corporate function.
  • Experience evaluating or migrating between ITSM platforms.
Education

Bachelor's degree required; information systems, computer science, or a related field preferred. ITIL certification is required for this role; relevant platform certifications (e.g., ServiceNow CSA/CIS) are strongly preferred.
