Job description

Note: Fidelity is not providing immigration sponsorship for this position
The Role
Are you a recent college graduate who enjoys problem solving, working with numbers, and learning how financial systems impact real people? If you're comfortable with Microsoft Excel and have strong math skills, this role could be a great first step in your career.
In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for the accurate and timely processing of various types of financial calculations to support our Defined Benefit clients. A Defined Benefit (DB) plan, also known as a pension plan, is a retirement plan where an employer promises to pay their employees a set amount after retirement.
You'll receive structured training on pension concepts, systems, and calculations, with support from experienced team members as you build confidence in the role.
Responsibilities include:
  • Processing various types of calculations, meeting timeliness and accuracy standards while interpreting DB plan rules to ensure compliance with the plan document.
  • Supporting internal Client Service teams while developing subject matter expertise on assigned clients
  • Manually calculate and review pension benefits for plan participants
  • Supporting monthly testing of various systems upgrades and releases
  • Participate in special departmental projects
  • Document updates to User Procedure Documentation

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree - Mathematics, Finance, Business, and Accounting majors are preferred but all are welcome to apply
  • Strong analytical and intuitive skills
  • Motivation and commitment to excellence; positive demeanor and 'can do' work ethic
  • Ability to work as a standout colleague while meeting individual timeliness, accuracy goals and quality standards
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly evolving environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
  • High integrity and discretion to ensure the confidentiality of private client and participant data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to coach and instruct others
  • Strong PC Software skills (i.e. Excel, Outlook, and Word)

The Team
Fidelity has achieved the top position as the largest Defined Benefit (DB) recordkeeper in the US, as measured by total participants under administration. Fidelity has been a trusted Defined Benefit provider in the industry for over 30 years, demonstrating consistent growth and innovation.
Fidelity's Defined Benefit group services all plan sizes and complexity. We offer an integrated participant experience to help focus on simplification, accuracy, and the highest level of service. This team ensures the highest level of benefit calculation accuracy for the organizations and clients we support.
As you grow within the team, you may have opportunities to mentor and coach others and progress into Lead Pension Administrator or Analyst roles, taking on increased responsibility, client complexity, and leadership opportunities over time.
Fidelity's Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
