Job description

Contract Position Summary:
Seeking a senior-level Technical Data Architect & Reporting Analyst with deep Oracle Fusion ERP Financials, Oracle EPM, SQL Server, and SSAS Tabular Model expertise. This role will lead the design and implementation of enterprise reporting architecture supporting Oracle ERP, EPM, and internal reporting platforms. The successful candidate will architect data pipelines, develop enterprise semantic models, design reporting databases, and deliver scalable reporting solutions supporting Accounting, Finance, FP&A, and Executive Leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Oracle ERP & EPM Data Architecture
  • Design and maintain enterprise reporting and analytics architecture spanning Oracle Fusion ERP, Oracle EPM, and SQL Server.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Oracle Fusion Financials data structures and relationships across:
    • General Ledger (GL)
    • Accounts Payable (AP)
    • Accounts Receivable (AR)
    • Cash Management (CM)
    • Fixed Assets (FA)
    • Project Accounting (PPM)
    • Budgeting & Planning
    • Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS)
  • Define enterprise data models supporting operational, financial, statutory, management, and executive reporting.
  • Establish data governance standards, reconciliation processes, and reporting controls.

Data Extraction & Integration
  • Design and implement data extraction solutions from Oracle Fusion ERP and Oracle EPM.
  • Develop and support integrations utilizing:
    • BICC (Business Intelligence Cloud Connector)
    • OTBI
    • BI Publisher
    • REST APIs
    • SOAP APIs
    • FBDI extracts
    • Smart View data integrations
  • Build automated data pipelines moving ERP and EPM data into SQL Server reporting environments.
  • Design incremental load strategies and near-real-time reporting architectures where appropriate.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of data transferred between Oracle applications and downstream reporting solutions.

SQL Server Data Warehouse Development
  • Architect and maintain enterprise reporting databases within Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Design star schemas, fact tables, and dimensional models optimized for analytics.
  • Develop complex T-SQL procedures, functions, views, and ETL processes.
  • Implement data quality validation, reconciliation, and audit controls.
  • Optimize database performance and scalability for large financial datasets.

SSAS Tabular Model Development
  • Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) Tabular Models.
  • Create enterprise semantic models supporting self-service and executive reporting.
  • Develop advanced DAX calculations, KPIs, measures, hierarchies, and business logic.
  • Implement row-level security and financial data access controls.
  • Optimize model performance and query response times.

Reporting & Analytics
  • Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Project Accounting, and Executive Leadership teams to define reporting requirements.
  • Develop reporting datasets and semantic layers supporting:
    • Financial Statements
    • Board Reporting
    • Budget vs. Actual Analysis
    • Cash Forecasting
    • Project Financial Analysis
    • AR/AP Operational Metrics
    • Consolidation Reporting
    • Executive Dashboards
  • Support reporting tools including Power BI and other enterprise analytics platforms.

Data Reconciliation & Controls
  • Create reconciliation frameworks between:
    • Oracle ERP subledgers and GL
    • Oracle EPM and ERP actuals
    • SQL Server Reporting Database and source systems
  • Support audit and SOX compliance requirements.
  • Develop controls for validating accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Required Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Experience
  • 10+ years of data architecture, business intelligence, and enterprise reporting experience.
  • 7+ years working with Oracle ERP financial systems.
  • 5+ years specifically supporting Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.
  • 5+ years working with Oracle EPM, including:
    • Planning
    • FCCS
    • Financial Reporting
    • Smart View
  • 8+ years of Microsoft SQL Server experience.
  • 5+ years designing and implementing SSAS Tabular Models.

Oracle Fusion Expertise
Deep understanding of Oracle Fusion database structures and business processes for:
