Job description

King International Advisory Group, a globally recognized private investigation and intelligence firm based in Toronto, Canada, is seeking an Intelligence Analyst to join our growing investigative team.
The Intelligence Analyst will conduct open-source research and intelligence gathering in support of a wide range of investigative matters. This is a hands-on analytical role suited to someone who is naturally curious, detail-oriented, resourceful, and comfortable working with large amounts of information to identify relevant facts, connections, and intelligence.
The successful candidate will assist with investigations involving background research, asset searches, corporate and individual due diligence, social media and online investigations, and other open-source intelligence (OSINT) assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT): Conduct detailed research using publicly available information, online databases, social media platforms, corporate records, court records, and other lawful research sources.
  • Background Investigations: Research individuals and organizations to identify relevant employment, business, litigation, financial, reputational, and other background information.
  • Asset & Corporate Research: Assist with asset searches, corporate due diligence, business ownership research, corporate affiliations, property research, and related investigative assignments.
  • Social Media & Online Investigations: Identify, research, document, and preserve relevant publicly available online and social media information.
  • Intelligence Analysis: Review information from multiple sources, identify connections and inconsistencies, and develop clear investigative findings.
  • Report Preparation: Prepare concise, professional investigative reports that clearly document research methodology, findings, and supporting information.
  • Case Management: Maintain organized investigative files, research notes, source documentation, and supporting evidence throughout an assignment.
  • Investigative Support: Work collaboratively with senior analysts, investigators, and management to develop additional research strategies and investigative leads.
  • Quality & Confidentiality: Ensure all investigative work is accurate, properly sourced, and conducted in accordance with applicable privacy legislation, company policies, and professional standards.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a relevant field such as criminology, intelligence analysis, law, political science, business, journalism, research, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to locate and assess information from a variety of sources.
  • Excellent attention to detail and an ability to identify connections, discrepancies, and information that may not be immediately obvious.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to summarize complex information clearly and professionally.
  • Strong computer literacy and comfort conducting extensive internet-based research.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment.
  • Sound judgment and a demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • An active Ontario Private Investigator Licence is required. Candidates who are eligible and willing to obtain a licence may also be considered.
  • Previous experience in private investigations, OSINT, intelligence analysis, fraud investigation, due diligence, journalism, legal research, insurance investigations, or a related field is considered an asset.
